The facts on this site, as one file you can download and reuse. It holds the same instruments, dates and open questions you see on our pages, and nothing more.
What the dataset contains
The file has three lists. We build it from the regulatory map, the status board on the homepage, the DPDP deadlines page and the pending page.
- Instruments (19): laws, rules and guidance, each with its status, a primary-source link and our explainer page.
- Deadlines (3): the three DPDP start dates. The 13 May 2027 date is flagged, with our note on why some sources say 14 May.
- Pending (17): questions not yet settled. 9 of them are marked "unconfirmed" because we have not opened an official record.
Each pending entry has two status fields, because they answer different questions:
- government_status says where the item stands with the government or a court: "pending", "scheduled", "watch" or "under_challenge".
- verification_status says whether we have checked it ourselves. "confirmed" means we have read an official record. "unconfirmed" means we have not, and the "unconfirmed_note" field says why.
Where we do not know a value, the field is empty (null). We never fill in a guessed date.

How often it changes
We rebuild the file whenever the site's dates or statuses change. The "generated" field shows the date of the current copy, which is 9 October 2026. Each entry also has a "last_checked" field, which is the date shown on its page.
The dataset is generated from the same source data that builds the site, not maintained separately. A build test fails if the file and the pages disagree, so the dataset cannot silently fall out of step with what is published here.
